About Bilal Javed, CPA
Bilal Javed is a Certified Public Accountant with over a decade of comprehensive experience spanning financial accounting, tax preparation, audit enforcement, and advisory services. He has been licensed as a Texas CPA since 2014, after completing his education at The University of Texas, and is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy.
He began his career in private industry as a staff accountant for a national manufacturer, building a strong foundation in financial accounting. While working full-time with the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts as a Sales Tax Auditor, Bilal also worked with a local tax practice, where he gained hands-on experience preparing corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns, along with practical tax planning and filing strategies for small and mid-sized businesses.
During his tenure with the Texas Comptroller, Bilal audited hundreds of businesses ranging from small family-owned operations to multibillion-dollar enterprises across a wide range of industries, including restaurants, retailers, national hotel chains, contractors, manufacturers, golf clubs, and professional service firms. His audit experience includes nationally recognized brands and franchisees such as McDonald’s, Whataburger, GMC, Ford, Hyundai dealerships, and numerous Buy Here Pay Here (BHPH) dealers—an area in which he developed deep, specialized expertise after auditing nearly every dealership in East Texas.
Bilal also possesses extensive experience in Texas sales and use tax, motor vehicle sales tax, mixed beverage gross receipts tax, and tax compliance audits involving county tax assessor-collectors. He provided expert witness testimony before Administrative Law Judges, giving him rare firsthand insight into audit defense, dispute resolution, and how tax positions hold up under scrutiny.
Recognized for exceptional performance, Bilal was promoted early to Audit Supervisor—becoming one of the youngest supervisors at the Comptroller’s office. In that role, he led and mentored experienced auditors, managed high-profile audit inventories, conducted compliance field reviews, and led reconciliation conferences to resolve complex tax disputes. He oversaw and reviewed audits for major corporations including McKesson, Murphy, Forterra Pipe, Mary Kay, Sally Beauty, Martin Marietta, Capital One, Bank of America, The Container Store, Atmos Energy, HP, Caterpillar, Toyota Financial Services, Dal-Tile, FleetPride, Kroger, Orkin, Texas Instruments, and many others.
Today, Bilal specializes in corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns, with a strong focus on helping business owners structure their entities properly, maximize deductions, and legally minimize taxes owed. He enjoys guiding clients through practical, compliant strategies that support long-term growth—not just short-term savings.
Combining private industry experience, real-world tax preparation, insider regulatory expertise, and hands-on business ownership, Bilal brings a rare and well-rounded perspective to every client relationship—helping businesses stay compliant, reduce risk, and move forward with confidence.
Why choose us:
Insider Audit Experience — We Know How the System Works
Our firm is led by a former Texas Comptroller Audit Supervisor who spent over a decade auditing and overseeing hundreds of businesses. We know how audits are selected, how assessments are built, and where mistakes typically occur—because we were on the other side of the table. That insider knowledge allows us to help clients avoid costly errors and defend audits with confidence.
We Fix the Root Cause, Not Just the Symptoms
In over 10 years of auditing, it became clear that more than 95% of tax assessments stem from one issue: poor or inconsistent bookkeeping. Businesses don’t fail audits because they try to cheat the system—they fail because their books don’t tell a clear, compliant story. We focus on fixing the foundation so you don’t overpay taxes or rack up penalties and interest.
Built by Business Owners, for Business Owners
In addition to our deep audit expertise, our firm is co-led by Bilal Javed, a small business owner with over a decade of hands-on experience. Bilal is an active real estate investor and developer and operates multiple businesses, including gas stations, a gas jobber operation, and construction and development companies. He continues to oversee these businesses while running the firm’s day-to-day accounting practice.
Because we are business owners ourselves, we understand the long hours, cash flow pressure, staffing challenges, and constant compliance demands that small and mid-sized businesses face.
We Understand What’s at Stake
We’ve seen firsthand how a single audit can set a business back years—sometimes tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars—in taxes, penalties, and interest. That’s why our approach is proactive, not reactive. We help clients stay compliant year-round so audits don’t become financial disasters.
Clear Communication. Practical Solutions. Real Support.
We don’t speak in confusing tax jargon or disappear after filing deadlines. We explain complex issues in plain language, provide practical solutions, and stay involved. Whether you need full-service accounting, tax compliance, consulting, or strong audit defense, we partner with you to protect your business and help it grow.
